Top notes are Pink Pepper, Lemon and Sicilian Bergamot; middle notes are Cedar, Angelica and Galbanum; base notes are Sandalwood, Agarwood (Oud) and Musk.
The Scent Profile
Royal Oud is built on a “Parisian-meets-Persian” concept, aiming for a smooth, airy elegance rather than the dense, medicinal profile found in many Middle Eastern oud perfumes.
The Opening: Effervescent & Peppery
The fragrance opens with a sharp, clean burst of pink pepper, lemon, and Sicilian bergamot. The pepper provides an immediate “snap” of spice that feels dry and bracing, while the citrus adds a temporary brightness that keeps the initial spray from feeling too heavy.
The Heart: The “Woodshop” Greenery
As the citrus fades, the heart reveals the true star of the show: Lebanese Cedar. This isn’t a sweet wood; it’s a dry, photorealistic cedar that many describe as smelling like a high-end woodshop or a freshly sharpened pencil. This is bolstered by angelica root and galbanum, which add a bitter, herbal, and slightly “green” earthiness.
The Base: Refined & Smoky
The dry-down is smooth and aristocratic. The oud here is subtle and “clean,” used primarily to provide a smoky, resinous depth to the woods rather than a funky or animalic scent. It is rounded out by sandalwood and Tonkin musk, creating a creamy, skin-like finish that smells like “old money” and luxury.
